EVERY PERSON IS ENTITLED TO BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS

Utah Department of Correction’s has decided that they need to change the housing structure of inmates in the Utah State Prison system.

UDC has kept rival inmates separated for safety reasons but has now determined that it is unsustainable to continue that policy, UDC is forcing ALL inmates, regardless of affiliation, into common areas, knowing that the consequences will be bloody and life-threatening. They have prepared the prison staff with riot gear, guns and flash-bang grenades, positioning themselves outside the section to watch the inmates, through glass, fight in sanctioned human “dog fights”!

This is a clear violation of these inmates VIII Amendment rights:

“Excessive bail shall not be required nor excessive fines imposed nor cruel and unusual punishment inflicted.”
